A couple of American art lovers, French art lovers, brought together for decades, an exceptional collection of works of the nineteenth and early twentieth century. The bonds of friendship forged between the owners, the president of the Orsay and the Orangerie now allow the presentation of this collection.This exhibition will be held at the Orsay Museum, located just steps from the Hotel Montalembert, on the left bank of the Seine River, allows to discover not only major works universally known artists but also most secret treasures, witnesses tasteful and independent of their owners.
In this collection is the seventh panel of the Public Gardens of Edouard Vuillard, the Orsay Museum already retains five of the nine panels, as well as works of Bonnard, Ranson, Roussel and several captivating paintings of Vuillard or decorative panels of Maurice Denis, and two masterpieces symbolists of Redon.
